so next week my MIL is going back to work which means the end of in-home care for us. We start with a new family next week. It's a family I know, but man am I having a hard time with it. GEEZ, I am actually a mess.
The thought of dropping them off is killing me. I feel like I am going off maternity leave all over again.
I wish I could afford a nanny or be a SAHM.
I know it could be because of the last in-home sitter I had, she was an effing nightmare.

We recently switched nannies and it was VERY hard too. It's weird. I dont' get it - but I was just so fricking nervous and upset about leaving him w/ someone new.
It's all fine now- I like her and for the first time in forever, the last time she was over, he didnt' cry when I left! I was shocked, but happily so!

Have you looked into nannies?
Have you posted on Craigslist to see what you could find at what rates?
I'm asking because once I had 2 kids it was actually cheaper to have a nanny than to do an in home.
I pay around $100 a day.
I'm soo sorry. Daycare is by FAR the hardest part of parenting IMO.
Breaks my heart.
But.... when it's good it's GOOD. There are days I swear my nanny takes better care of them than I do. She LOVES them and they adore her. She's much better at 1:1 undivided attention than I am. I hope you can find that kind of situation soon!
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
Hannah, I am just going to drop them off to you everyday:) HA! You see how good they are:)

Awwww... I wish I could watch them everyday... But I'd have to take them lots of places in my car
I can't open a daycare in my basement but I am available for back up!! Any time lady - for real!!
ETA: and yes, they are SO good!!!
((HUGS))
When our nanny flaked on us and we had to put K in daycare I was a mess. The first few weeks were rough, but we settled into a routine and I saw how happy she was there and it's been great. Hang in there, hon.
I get that... I always have a hard time leaving Ava, no matter who or where it is. The only glimmer of hope I can offer you - they're getting to the age where your family room just isn't gonna cut it, they'll want some new walls, new yards, new things going on. Opens their world up a bit more... they'll do & see new things.
Door shuts, window opens.
You can do this mom ! ;-)
