[Poll] Most Awkward "Are you Pregnant?" (non clicky)

So there is this woman who works in my company who is a little...different.   Before I started working there I had ballooned quite a bit in weight, and then as I got settled I got myself back down to a comfortable size and kept the weight off.  Up until recently, almost every time this woman has seen me, she's commented on all the weight I've lost and how did I do it, etc.  This is always awkward, because it's basically just commenting on how fat you used to be (funny thing - the last time she did this was right after my BFP when I was feeling super bloated and ICK).

Anyway, she's not someone who I work with on a regular basis, and no one told her that I was pregnant.  The past few times she's seen me she hasn't said anything, but looked at me kind of funny.  Then today I was walking down the hall with my yummy mid late morning food, and wearing a shirt with an open blazer that shows off my pretty obvious belly.  She suddenly said "what have you changed, something is just so different about you!?!"  It was so funny, because I think she was trying to say that I've put on weight (fair enough), and I looked at her and said, not much, other than being 21 weeks pregnant.  Something about it made me laugh.

So, what's the strangest way you've been asked?

The strangest comment came from a complete stranger while I was out of the car talking to DH while he was pumping gas. This man who was also pumping gas just blurted out " so, your having a girl?" DH and I weren't even talking about baby. I was stunned and just replied we haven't found out yet. It was really weird, and awkward!

  • On our vacation, our tour guide in Turkey randomly blurted, "Are you having un baby?!" She was the first person to ask if I was pregnant because I really wasn't showing yet. But it was REALLY hot (110) that day and we were doing a lot of walking, so I'm sure I had put my hand on my belly numerous times. It wasn't really strange, but I guess not everyone can say they were asked in Turkey? Smile

  • Last week our FedEx delivery woman asked if I was pregnant.  I told her yes, and she said, "oh good, because the last 3 ladies I've asked said no."  I thought to myself, if I had that kind of track record I'd be keeping my questions to myself!
