Does this make sense to anyone else? FB

A girl I went to high school just gave birth to twins boys yesterday.  In her FB update, she said she had to deliver them "both vaginally and c-section."  Now, aside from it being TMI for a general post, does that make sense to anybody?  I didn't want to ask her about it, because 1. I'm not close enough to feel comfortable asking her and 2. I didn't want to sound like a beech, especially to a woman whose just had twins.

  • Maybe the 1st was vaginal, then the 2nd had to be a c section for some reason. Or maybe she misspoke, she did just have twins

  • I have heard of situations where one twin is delivered vaginally and then the other either can't make his/her way out or needs to be deilvered by C-section due to complications/stress of the previous one being born naturally. If any of that makes sense..

But whatever the case, you will never find the word vaginally on my facebook page.

  • It sounds like she delivered the first vaginally and the second by c-section. I think this is common if baby b turns breech or transverse while baby a is delivered.

  • 1st one vaginally, 2nd one c-section because it was breech? I think that is a risk of happening with twins, they don't always both turn the right way.

This. A friend of mine delivered the first baby vaginally then they had to do an emergency c/s for the second baby.

  • Thanks everybody! I knew there was something my brain was just not picking up on. Embarrassed

This happend to my SiL. First was born normal, second was breech and wouldn't do a last min turn, so they did emergency c-section.

    ????????
