spotting plus loss of what looks like mucus plug

(I am reposting this from First Trimester)

Hello. Anybody experience this? I have had light spotting off and on which doesn't worry me as I have experienced this in past pregnancies; however last night and then again today I lost something that looked like my mucus plug - tinted with light brown/pink blood. I am not having cramping or major red bleeding... I am freakin' out to say the least.

    At about 5.5 weeks, I had spotting and white mucus.

    Take this from my experience, no matter what other people's experiences have been in the past, YOUR pregnancy is unique - please call, it's better to be safe than sorry!!!

    I listened to some advice on a board here which resulted in me not alerting my OB to my short cervix that was measured on u/s at 16 weeks.  I lost my twins 2 weeks later.  PLEASE call your doctor.  I hope everything turns out okay for you!

    T & P coming your way. I hope everything is ok with you and LO.  I agree that you should call... better be safe than compare your situation to someone else's.  We are all way too unique to think that all of our symptoms mean the same thing.

    Thank you all for your advice! I have not had any spotting since this AM - and have not lost any more "mucus" I just don't know how to describe it other than it looked like what my plug looked like when I lost it.

    I am going to let my doctor know.
