Any news or updates?

In case anyone hasn't noticed the Moms list is HUGE!  What do you think about taking off people that aren't around anymore and re-adding them if they return to the board?

Re: PG-Mom-TTC check in

  • As you can see, I'm 41 weeks today.  Not a point that I intended to reach with this pregnancy, but I'm here nonetheless.  I have to be at the hospital tonight at 8:00 PM to start the Cervadil and I'm praying that's all that I'll need, but I'm being realistic and assuming that I'll be put on Pitocin tomorrow morning.  I'm hoping to have the sometime Wednesday, but wouldn't be surprised if this little sucker held out until Thursday.

On a not so comical note...I have one of those daily tickers on my blog and today's said:

Day 273: Hang in there! Inducing at 41 weeks likely increases labor complications and cesarean deliveries!

Seriously?!?!?  Why does it have to say that?

In case anyone hasn't noticed the Moms list is HUGE!  What do you think about taking off people that aren't around anymore and re-adding them if they return to the board?

Yes, I think that would be a great idea!

    Any news??

Gianna is really starting to get a personality now....and starting to laugh when DH and I are with her. She is very nosy about the world around her as well....so much so that breast feeding only lasts for a few minutes before she wants to pull off and see what is going on around the house etc....

Gianna is also successfully sleeping in her pack and play at night and goes to bed around 8:30 every night with out fuss....She is still waking up 2x a night since we moved her from our bed to the pack and play, but baby steps I guess lol....However she will sleep till about 9:30 every morning which is nice!

We are getting ready for her Baptism, which is scheduled for Aug. 21. We are actually having the ceremony performed at our house, followed by food and fun with about 40ppl....where I am going to put them I have no idea lol...

  • BTW....Natalee...major labor dust now that your MIL's bday is over!!!!!! Come on baby C....

And if you need help with this post when the baby is born, let me know- I would be more than happy to do it for you until you are actively back on the boards.....

  • ::labor dust:: to you Natalee!  I'm so excited for you!!

Can you change my EDD to Jan 20?

I discovered the joy of maternity pants today.... these things are a little piece of heaven.  My sister's bach party is this weekend- should be interesting.  lol

  • Any news or updates? Not really.  G is definitely becoming a toddler, temper tantrums and all.  He's had several biting incidents again at school. I'm thankful that he is a great 'sleeper.'  He goes to bed every night around 7:30.  When we say it's time for night-night he heads for the stairs and after we change his diaper and brush his teeth, he wants to give us kisses and then reaches out for his bed.  I still want baby 2.0, but not sure if that will ever happen.  J is definitely not on board.  In case anyone hasn't noticed the Moms list is HUGE!  What do you think about taking off people that aren't around anymore and re-adding them if they return to the board? I think that's a good idea.  Although I only see a few on the mom's list and maybe a couple on the PG list.  I think most are semi-active
  • Natalee- your ticker sucks!

Let me see, I'm 38 weeks today.  I'm the most pregnant I have ever been!  I'm not terribly uncomfortable so I really don't mind it.  I just wish that it was easier to plan when the baby was coming because I've got a lot that is going to start going on here soon.  Chris is deploying and Rowen is starting school soon so it would be nice if Phoebe would decide to make her appearance soon.

I already updated you on my Dr's appt.  My u/s is on Thursday so I will let you know what happens then.  I was up for awhile last night feeling terribly crampy again.  I took a Tylenol PM and was able to get some sleep at least.  I'm really excited because my dad is driving up from Charlotte today to stay with me for awhile.  I was getting really anxious being here by myself so I'm thrilled to know if I go into labor I will now have someone to drive me the 30 mins to the hospital and watch Rowen.

  • Lots and lots and LOTS of labor dust for you Natalee!  Come on Baby C!  We are all ready to "meet" you!

Lots of baby dust to the TTCers too!  Let's get some more names on the PG list!

News:  DH did an amazing job painting and putting up a chair rail in the baby's room this weekend.  Next up:  assembly of the crib.  I can't wait to see the nursery all put together.  Other than that, nothing much is new.  Starting to feel more pregnant, with a few more aches and pains, but nothing really to complain about at this point (thank God for central air!!).  Still just enjoying feeling the little guy moving around in there.

  • Natalee TONS of ::LABOR DUST::

April I hope that the cramps go away and P decides to come soon!

As far as TTC I'm getting frustrated.  I had a feeling at the begining of this cycle it wouldn't be 'the one' but now I'm just down right confused.  I've had a positive OPK since last Thursday (I ran out of OPK tests yesterday and didn't buy more)  add to that that my temp is so screwy this month.  I thought I O'ed last Thursday when my temp dipped, but I had another dip (not below the first dip) the past few days.  I'm so confused!

Sorry I really needed to vent about this.  It's just so frustrating!

  • *peeks head around the corner*

I'm hesitant to say this - but you might be adding me to the TTC list soon. My dr. appointment is next Wednesday to work on weaning me off of my daily migraine preventative pill (OHMYGOD i can't believe i can't take this anymore). I took my first PNV last night (yay?) and I have to take folic acid 3x day so I'm starting that tomorrow. So....we might be TTC by the end of September.

    holy bejeesus that's scary.

  • Updates:

This past weekend was Austin's birthday party, for the most part everything went off without any complications. I think I broke my toe and a bone in my foot. Doesn't hurt at all, just looks really ugly.

Thursday is Austin's birthday, so bittersweet for me. I am loving that he is growing into such a little man and loves to play with us now. He definitely has my Italian temper though.

  • You can take me off the mom list is you need to, as I'm not around too much and I generally lurk more than post (sorry).

McKenna will be one in less than 2 weeks! It's crazy! I'm prepped for her party and can't wait to see her face when she sees it all!!

    YAY!!  So exciting!

  • Anything new? - furniture is here! pics on facebook. I'm so excited to nurse her on the chaise for the first time :)

I'm feeling conflicted. I want to make plans to have people come over so I'm not alone all of the time but I've found that when I  make plans it leads to a more stressful day for me. So I get to choose between feeling stressed or feeling lonely/overwhelmed. Not fun!

I can't wait for my boobs to start feeling better, I think that will give me a whole new lease on life! :)

Mom list - I agree, pare it down and then we can re-add people if they start posting again.

  • Any news or updates? Just returned from the dr. and there is no progress whatsoever. Baby is snug and happy! My mom is coming on Friday with my sister from Ohio for 10 days - they don't have much time as my mom has to leave to take her to SC for college (my other sister is staying with me now as she prepares to move into her own place hopefully this weekend).

The dr. said even if she were to induce me, which I absolutely don't want, my cervix is not ripe for dilation and once admitted they'd have to get the baby out by any means necessary which means C-section, which I don't want either. So I'm very happy to just let baby girl take her time and come when she's ready!

We have our family reunion on Saturday so I'm looking forward to being able to go to that. I'll have a couple beauty appointments this week to get ready just in case she comes next week.

Tuesday I'll go back to the dr. and next Wednesday to the hospital for the NST, checking fluids etc. I'm so glad my mom will be here to go with me =)

My dad's suggested I start walking more to get things going. He took very detailed notes with all my mom's 4 pregnancies and looking back he said that was the one thing that made her progress quickly. We live near a large park with a track and trails so I think I'll go there with my mom and sisters in the evenings.

In case anyone hasn't noticed the Moms list is HUGE!  What do you think about taking off people that aren't around anymore and re-adding them if they return to the board? Sounds fine to me!

**Hang in there Natalee! I think about you everyday =)**

  • Landon is doing great. He has finally figured out his nights and days. Although I have not, I stayed up until 5 am this morning! ugh!

I think that is a great idea about narrowing down the list of moms.

And good luck to you Natalee! We will be thinking of you!

  • Natalee - tons of labor dust!!!

Nothing too exciting to report...getting ready for our big vacation in two weeks.  Nathan now has three teeth (two bottom and one top) and has expanded his vocabulary to include "agua" (water in Spanish).  I'm so in love with him and I can't believe how much more I love him day to day.

  • Reese is doing great. She was pretty fussy when initially latching the last few days, but I think my let down reflex is becoming mire efficient because today has been much better. Her sleep patterns are super erratic, but I guess that's par for the course. Sometimes she will sleep in her bassinet for 4 hour stretches, and other times she will only sleep in my arms. I'm enjoying every second though!
  • I'm 17 weeks today, and really excited to find out about the baby at the upcoming anatomy scan. I felt a little nervous today thinking about it, but I really am confident that Baby is okay in there. I'm feeling the baby move now, which is more reassurance that things are fine.

I'm also mentally more adapted to this pregnancy; this week I've been thinking about some things and realized my priorities have changed big time already. I was planning to return to my regularly-scheduled final year of college the first of September and hope for the best with student teaching in January - if I had the baby early (December) I would student teach, if not, I'd wait until fall to do so. Yesterday, I realized that I was okay with taking a year off, just working full-time at my job 2 minutes from home, and staying home with Baby for two months. Since this realization, I'm much happier - I'm going to get to spend time with my baby, time that I can't get back, and time that will be precious to me! Maybe the little one moving around in there was a wake up call for me, I don't know. Smile

  • PG:  Finally hit 2nd tri!  What's strange though is that I've been feeling a little nauseous lately.  Hope it goes away soon.  I have my second appointment with the OB on Thursday.  I have a bunch of questions to ask her so I'm looking forward to it.

Mom: Caroline now has 2 molars!  The second one broke through in the last day or so.  These molars have been a b!tch for her though.  She never really had teething issues with her front 8, but these molars really seem to be bothering her (and me when she wakes up in the middle of the night!)

  • Nothing really to report...I think our timing was better this month so we shall see. Only 4 more days to wait and see.

  • I actually have a lot of updates!  Besides my stupid chest pain thing that I mentioned above...

I talked to my nurse today and she gave me the ultrasound details.  She said baby measured at 10 weeks when we had out ultrasound at 10 weeks, 6 days.  She said baby looks fine though, nothing to worry about.  My due date has been chaged to Feb. 11th, though.  Natalee, will you change that please?

She said amniotic fluid looks good, heart beat was at 163, everything is right on track.  We talked a bit about how rude the tech was, she apologized and said the woman typically doesn't say much, as the doctors like to release the information.  But, she did apologize and said there was no reason for her to be rude.  I'm fine with that!

As for removing people from the list, I think it's a good idea.

  • So far so good.  I'll be 32 weeks on Wed.  And I'm 5th from the top of the list?  How did that happen!?!  Eeek!

My shower is August 8 so I'll be glad when we have that and see where we are inventory wise (yes I am that particular about thing but it really has helped me remember what we've got and what we need).

I found out tonight when I went to prenatal swim class that the class had been canceled.  I'm annoyed and don't know if I can get my $50 back.  It would have been nice to get some notice and also nice to know if I could get a refund.  When I originally signed up for the previous 6 week session they told me that if there was low numbers they would cancel but couldn't confirm if they could give me a refund.  Seriously?  It's the YMCA.  I understand the cost of the class on their end but the least they can do is say "yes this is our refund policy".  I'm calling tomorrow to learn more.  I started prenatal yoga last week but I enjoy the water fitness class more in part because of the weightlessness which makes my legs feel normal rather than so-so from the veins and the weight on them.  So we'll see what happens.
