Success after IF

NO sympathy for DH

So I handed the baby off to DH and told him to get her to sleep, since usually I seem to be the one. So he's just wearing his pajama pants and is holding her on his chest as he browses the computer.

I start hearing muffled swearing and pained exclamations.... she was evidently grabbing handfuls of chest hair and yanking. He finally said 'You're taking her back!'

I just laughed at him and told him really he couldn't complain to me. I'm the one who gets my chest chewed on every day. He has NO room to whine.

and what is it with guys holding babies while on the computer?? I'm always having to tell my husband that maybe if he focused totally on the baby he could get her to sleep faster.

ahhh so it is not just MH... unless it is the middle of the night or they've woken up from already be sleeping, it's like he can't hold them without having the  tv on or computer nearby.

Ah, that drives me crazy.  DH is super active, but seems to have a short attention span.  I was sick on Friday, and he would come in to ask me what to "do" next.  I was like "uh, get off the laptop and show him some attention."  Geez.

  • Ha!! Jones got a hold of DH's thumb the other day and was sucking on it.. He yelped and I just looked at him and laughed... He has a new appreciation for breastfeeding ;)
