I know, I know, that's an odd thing to say, but he can't lie to save his life!
My MIL called tonight like she does every Monday night and although I love her dearly, I just didn't feel like chit-chatting tonight so I motioned to DH that I didn't feel like talking. So after he got off the phone with her I asked if she asked about me and he said "Yes, she says hello. I told her you were writing a letter." Uhm, WHAT??? That's what you told her??? I was writing a letter? Why didn't you say I was in the shower or, I don't know, ASLEEP??? Instead you made up something that is SO obviously a lie because who the hell writes letters anymore??? Now, the next time I see her she'll ask me who I was writing to.
Oy....
This isn't the first time he's done this. One time we were supposed to meet some friends out for dinner and at the last minute our friends decided they wanted to come to our house and drive to dinner together. Well, our house was in NO SHAPE to have guests over so I told DH to run out to the car and just "make up something to stall them so I could straighten up a little." Well, he couldn't come up with anything so he told our friends to leave and come back in 20 minutes so we could clean.
It's a good thing he's cute....
Re: Seriously, DH needs to earn to lie better!
LMAO!!! Yeah they're pretty dumb sometimes!!
Mine will get on the phone with his mom and say "oh honey did you want to talk to my mom?"
DUH!! If I wanted to talk to her, I would've called her!

TTC 3rd and final!: IUI #1 in progress!
HeeHee! You are right, who writes a letter now a days?
Too funny!
Haha! Men are so dense sometimes!
But you did remind me that I am long overdue for a letter to my grandparents. They don't do email and can't hear well so they don't like talking on the phone. They live in Florida .... the only communication I've had with them over the past 10 years has been letters. So someone still write letters lol!
