Drumroll...his weight is 8 lb 6.8oz, his length is 19 3/4", and his head size is 36 3/4 cm. We were so excited. He has meat on his bones now. And he is really filling out his newborn clothes better. HIs pediatrician wrote him a prescription for a wedge for his reflux. So we are having an occupational therapist at the hospital where he was born build him a wedge for his crib. And he got a couple of shots today (if you heard a baby crying from the state of Washington, that was my baby)--they did it really fast and then put Taz and Bugs Bunny bandaids on both thighs, and then another Taz bandaid under his foot. And we are going to keep him on Neosure until 6 months old, and I just got a check from the WIC program for 10 cans of Neosure (Yeah gotta love the state of Washington!).
I bought my last packs of newborn diapers this past weekend-Huggies Pure and Natural (gotta love the baby Pooh diapers), and Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive (thought they were a little girly with the hearts, birdies, and moons, but they fit so well on him and look so dang cute). So I am thinking in a week or two that we will transition him to Size 1. His Seventh Generation look really good too but lately they have been a little snug around the waist. And we will see how the small G Diapers work as well. I am having so much fun putting cute diapers on him.
Today someone asked him how old he was, and I said two months old (but he was two months early--gotta love that). I never got to say 35/35 when I was pregnant, but at least I can now say two months old, two months early. Overall, it was a good day for both of us : )
Re: Baby's two month appt.
Oh and I just looked at the Babies 0-3 month forum, and it seems like some babies are moving to their cribs early on. I kinda love having him in the room with us in his cradle. It just feels so homey and like a family all sleeping together. When did you transition your preemie baby to this crib?
Great stats.
We moved DD to her crib only after two weeks being at home. She would move and make so much noises that I was losing sleep. So my aunt was over a lot at the time, so she moved her one night and it's been wonderful ever since. She started to sleep better herself. It was just easier on both of us.
He's a cutie, sounds like he's doing great!
We had DS in our room forever, we finally just got him in his crib a couple months ago. I think if you like having him in your room, keep him there till he outgrows the cradle!
Yay great news! The pics in your siggy are ADORABLE!!
We transitioned DD to her crib at like 3 months I didn't really want to but she kept turning herself in her bassinet and getting stuck in the middle of the night so we had to put her in her crib to give her more room.
Good job making a little chunk! How big was he when he was born and how big was he when he came home? I've heard they gain weight faster at home.
