Who started out as a single parent and who became one when their babies were born? I need some help coping. DH pretty much told me that he didn't love me the same way anymore today and that we are only together for DD. I am so hurt right now. I don't know what to do.

    My husband left me when DS was five months old. He had told me within the month or two prior to that that he didn't like me as a person and was only staying with me because of DS.

    DB broke up with me when I was 8m pg and after we had signed our lease. he wasn't required to pay support if we were living together (he knew that, I didn't)

    I was basically a single parent when I had LO but didn't have the strength to actually leave STBXH until he was 3 weeks old.

    I have been a SP since I was 8 months pg.  Super Douche and I split because he was doing drugs and cheating.

    I became a SP when my son was 16 months old and then again when I was 11 weeks, I'm now 21 weeks and I'm just so used to it because even when my DS's deadbeat father was "in" the picture he really wasn't much help, mostly due to drugs, partying, and wouldn't keep a job.  The recent XBF has unstable mental issues, didn't realize the extent until after I got pregnant. 

    I really like being a SP though, less complicated (especially being guy free), more time focused on my DS and when my DD gets here.  Just how I feel about doing it on my own, it's definitely not the end of the world to have to parent alone.

    I have been a single mom since we found out I was pregnant. He wanted me to abort, I told him to gtfo.

    It gets easier, but oh do I feel for you. *hugs*
