Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Anyone have either of these?

Well since the Nap Nanny was recalled (and honestly, I didn't want to spend quite that much because well......maternity leave left me broke) I am looking for another sleep solution for LO.  His reflux is horrible, and I just dont do a good job with propping his bed up, and its particularly hard in the pack n play anyways.  Currently he's in his swing, which I hate, because it just doesn't seem comfy to me.

I'm looking at this as a possible solution for now

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Leachco-Bummzie-Adjustable-Infant-Seat-Blue-Bubbles/14138952   (sorry no clicky, the bump really needs to make friends with Apple products)

Given my wonderful luck, its naturally out of stock.  I noticed Boppy makes one as well  ( https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3812962 ) but it doesn't seem to have as much incline as the other, and seems to be too "pillow" like in the butt area, where the other is more like a sling.

Any opinions on either of these? Or a similar product?  I'm thinking of asking Pedi tomorrow if he thinks we could get my insurance to cover a Tucker Wedge, but in the mean time, or if not, I'd like to have other options.

Re: Anyone have either of these?

  • Our DD has reflux and has trouble sleeping.

We got the Fisher Price Rock and Play Sleeper and it has been a lifesaver.  It's only around $50 and you can get it at BRU.  I would look into that.

  • I thought about a rock n play, but our bed is really really high (like I have to get on my tippie toes to get up on it) and I dont think I'd like him being that low, and he likes to be able to see us.  Hs swing is almost too low.

  • It is pretty low, more couch height.

I hope you find something, I know how hard it is when they are having trouble sleeping.

  • The nap nanny was recalled?
  • We had this for our first son who had AR:

    https://www.arpillow.com/shop/products.php?product=Baby-AR-Pillow-%2dWedge-Pillow,Headring,-harness-and--1-pillow-sheet

It was used all of like three times.

I would sell it to you for $20 plus shipping if you are interested.

  • I'd ask your pedi and see what they say. I saw someone in BRU checking out with this wedge type thing that helps incline the baby some. I did not look at it in the store though, but it looked interesting. Only problem is I would worry once the baby starts rolling. I remember people telling me to do that when my son had a cold, but once he hit a year or earlier, he was all over the place in bed. He's 3 now and still ends up at the foot of the bed sometimes!

Pedi says to prop him up as high as possible, but I can't seem to do a good job, so I'm looking for something that will keep him in an almost upright position, but will be more comfortable than that hard swing
