Thoughts on 1st birthday...

Please be honest and tell me if you think this is dumb...

We are not having a party for LO - all of our family live out of state or abroad so it's just us here.  But I love the idea of a guest book or something similar.  Soooooooo I was debating sending an email out to close family (grandparents, aunts & uncles) and asking for them to write a line or two for DD and then I'd assemble all the thoughts and wishes into a little book for her.

WDYT?  If your Sister/SIL emailed you about this what would you think?  cute or dumb?

    love it....just ask for thoughts and birthday wishes.  And as Im writting this they will all send you lo a birthday card, why not just scrapbook those in with photos of you and your dh on her bday with whatever you do....like cake or whatever.

    I thought of using the cards, but then I thought - what if they all just say "Happy Birthday, we love you!" which is great too, but a little more would be nice too lol

    I love it!  I think when she's all grown up (not that our babies are ever going to grow up!) she will look back on that book and love all those special little thoughts sent her way!

    I never post here....but how about having them send a recent family pic as well? Then you can read her the comments and show her the pics from time-to-time.
