I just got back from the dentist and OMG did it hurt! I'll spare you the details but it's mac & cheese for dinner tonight.
I say don't forget your teeth because my dentist lectured me hardcore about brushing with a soft brush 2-3 times a day and flossing everyday! It's something everyone should do anyway but especially important now. I know the books say it, but pregnancy really is hard on your teeth/gums.
So if it's been 6 months or more since you're last cleaning I recommend a visit!
Re: Ladies, don't forget about your teeth!
I had my cleaning two weeks ago and my gums were bleeding way more than usual.
Thankfully, the abuse I subjected my mouth to with the braces and additional dental work paid off and not only are my teeth perfect, but things are holding up better than they would for the average pregnant woman.
Flossing has always been a PITA for me so I use a water pik instead and the dentist told me this is what is saving my mouth from being more inflamed right now.
I might need to try a water pik. I was bleeding so bad! DH uses one, I'll see if he has an extra topper thing (not sure what they are called).
I recommend it.
Especially with cold water to help soothe your gums.
It was hard for me at first to get the water pressure right but after I figured it out, it was good. I hope it helps you.
