Total newb question RE: TTC after really early loss

Hi ladies,

I feel like a total newbie... If you had a really early loss (i.e. 5 weeks or less) how long were you told to wait to TTC? Did you have to do a follow-up with your OB?

    I lost my second at 5 weeks and my OB told me to wait a month before TTC.  So I said "Crap, I was hoping you would say we didn't have to wait" and he said "Oh, well then don't wait.  I just say that so that you heal emotionally but if you feel like you're ready, go ahead and try again". 

    And that was two years ago and I haven't been PG since.  That last part has nothing to do with it, I just realized it as I was replying and wanted to say it out loud for some reason.

    I think that such an early loss doesn't do much physically to prevent you from trying again.  I still wouldn't wait if I had it to do over again.

    4/08 BFP resulted in m/c
    8/08 BFP resulted in m/c
    3/09 Polyp removed and dx MTHFR (both copies)
    6 Clomid cycles, all BFN
    5/09 IUI#1 with Clomid=BFN
    6/09 IUI#2 with Clomid=BFN
    8/09 IUI#3 with Clomid=BFN
    IVF#1 = BFN
    IVF#2 = BFN
    IVF#3 ET 2 Grade A blasts 11/16/11
    Beta #1: 485
    Beta #2: 2,495

    I'm going to start right away. I haven't been to my OB, but I figure after one AF, we're back in the game.

    My RE told me one cycle, she said as soon as af shows I can call and we can get started with a frozen transfer. I wish they would do a follow up, but they are just drawing my blood this week to make sure my beta's went down.
