on the belly or in the who-ha? Sorry if thats a dumb question, but I don't know!

    Unless you are having preterm labor, other issues, or you are carrying super low and the top of baby's head is below your pubic bone (that happened with DS. it was the only way they could get a shot of the top of his head/brain).

    I have never heard of it being vaginal. I believe the anatomy scan is always done outside the body.

    It's not transvaginal. Unless they are measuring your cervix but even then at our Anatomy scan they were able to measure my cervix externally. I would assume this is true for most

    With my first pregnancy, it was on belly.

    OMG, it freaked my husband out, too. At our first ultrasound appt I didnt think to warn him in advance that it would be in the wahoo and he almost fainted! Literally, all the color drained from his face and he had to put his head between his knees.
