Big U/S today!

So we have our ultrasound appointment this afternoon and I was wondering if any of you did anything prior to your big u/s to get the baby moving so that you knew for sure you would get a look at the goods!  We are so excited to find out if its a boy or girl.  I have heard some people say drink a ton of water or orange juice but I was wondering if that really worked.  Any other tips?  TIA!

    I was told to drink Orange Juice. I didn't, he was moving all the time just like he is now. You could also always try anything with a little bit of sugar in it. GL! Enjoy your u/s!

    Exciting! I just did the OJ thing. He didn't have any holdbacks in showing off the money shot, so maybe it helped. Anything suggary is supposed to get them moving, or changes in beverage temperature ie hot tea or ice cold water.

    How exciting! I had a big glass of cran raspberry juice about an hour before my appointment. I have no idea if it made any difference though! Enjoy seeing your little one today! It is a pretty awesome experience :)

    Yay - that is so exciting!  I've noticed that our little sprout responds the same way to both OJ and cold ice water, but if my bladder is way too full, she doesn't have as much room to wiggle around. :)  Good luck!  We found that our u/s tech was in no rush and was very patient in getting our money shot.

    I made DH stop at Safeway and I got one of the mini sized Simply Orange juices.  DD was definitely moving for the appointment, but I had to pee so bad!  Apparently, the U/S tech can see your bladder, too.  She commented on how full it was.

    Our big U/S was first thing in the morning, I hadn't even had breakfast yet when I went in. I am growing quite the little mover and shaker though, so she moved around a lot in the U/S. She was laying funky so the U/S tech couldn't get the right measurement of her head, one thing that worked was getting up and walking around a bit and emptying my bladder. When I layed back down she had flipped around.
