that people wouldn't know just by looking at you??

Me: I'm pretty much a girlie-girl. I live in high heels, I like to wear dresses/skirts, I like to put on more than just mascara for nights out. I like pedicures and spa treatments.

But when I got pregnant, my job was a laborer. As in Rosie-the-Riveter-coverall-hard-hat-steel-toe-boots-wearing laborer. I had a license to drive fork lifts. I used sledge hammers almost on a daily basis at work. I worked there for 3 years and I loved it. But by looking at me you would never guess that's the type of job I had!!

I'm a huge hip-hop/rap/r&b fan from way back in the day....like the 80's. I know a lot about those certain types of music and can usually answer any kind of trivia about the genres.

I used to operate forklifts also...great pay hard work.

Just by looking at me you'd never know I taught high school for almost 5 years. I look like I am 18 years old. I worked at a school for sex offenders teaching boys English/writing. Absolutely hated it.

This is turning into the fork lift club!
I worked in an appliance factory for 3 years. I was mostly booking and cleaning, but I had to move some washers and dryers on occasion.

Hard hats = sexy.

That I have 5 tattoos. I'm usually pretty preppy/conservative/girly looking so when people notice one of the tats, they're shocked.

That I'm actually really nice. People's first impression of me, just by looks, is that I'm a stuck up biitch. I guess I do look pretty bitchy but I'm not :-).

That I am extremely sensitive. I think I come off as being "hard" and "tough," but it's just because I'm opinionated.

I actually cry easier than anyone I've ever met. I'm a pretty big wuss.

That I used to be a bodybuilder! (I am an endurance athlete so I am quite lean and scrawny but during a running injury a few years ago I decided to do something totally different...it was fun but I'll stick to running.

I am really handy. I have done a lot of the upgrades in my house on my own (with DH's help).

I like country music.

I don't really drink much.

I graduated college with honors, used to take 18 credits per semester, work 30 hours per week, and I was VP of my sorority all at the same time (and I had a boyfriend).

I am sarcastic, but I am also really nice.

I don't think anything about me is really surprising, but people are always pretty shocked to hear that I birthed a 9lb, 9oz baby. I always thought I was of average build and that it shouldn't be so surprising.

I love tattoos, although I only have one. I've never been able to decide on another one. DH has 4 and I think they're hot ;-)

Awesome, I would have loved to take French in high school, but since it wasn't offered I took Latin instead :-P I should have taken Spanish because I wound up marrying my wonderful H - who's Hispanic! LoL

Some people get surprised when they find out I'm a Process Engineer (I don't know what should be the look of one)... other people who know me at work, and in my circle of friends, are shocked when they know I love hand crafts, sewing and baking.

I'm a theology dork. I minored in Christian Studies in college. I looked forward to exegeticals (20+ page papers on 5 or so verses of scripture). I would love to get a Masters in theology and I'd rather read a book on comparative theology the any book on the best-seller list.

Not even kidding, I have over 25 bibles and 5 theology books that I read for fun and relaxation.

It surprises people because I'm not a "Bible thumper," I'm not a preacher's wife, and even though i graduated from a Baptist university, our church is non-denominational charismatic.
