TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Moving on to the next step

I hope everyone is doing well! I've been lurking a little, but have been trying really hard to not obsess over all of this TTC crap.  I have now given up though b/c we took the next step and I had my consult with the RE last week.  This was the step we didn't think we would take to have a 2nd child, but that went out the window as cycle #10 is coming to a close.  I can't believe it's been just about 10 months since I was pregnant last.  Now I just wait for CD 1 to schedule blood work and the ever fun HSG.  I'm so dreading doing that again, but I got pg shortly after the first one so I hope it will be worth the pain.   One more month and we should have a plan which will be a nice point to get to.

I do NOT see myself going back to TTCAL.  This board has lots of great RE experience and moves slow enough that I can keep up.

FWIW, quick history if you don't know me - had to terminate my pregnancy at 22w 9/30/09.

  • Welcome back!!  Nice to see you around.  Sounds like everything went well at the RE and it is always nice to have a plan.  Hopefully it will be short lived and you will be on to getting your healthy LO soon!

P.S.  I am taking my little sister house shopping in Hamilton in another couple of weeks!

I had one before I got pg with DD so it's been a while.  I had a lot of pain but it was b/c the dye wouldn't go through a tube and my RE tried to do a catheterization. The thing is surgery showed nothing wrong with the tube, so it could be painful again. I don't know.

Court, I seem to always be able to count on you to be at the same spot I am! Hopefully it will be for something good soon :)

Yes, hopefully we're both pregnant right after our hsg's together :).  I hope yours is less painful this time!  I've heard both ways, so I'll definitely be taking some meds before I go!

Dr. Darder laughed at me a little when I asked if he would want to do another hsg. He said you don't really trust that test now do you, lol.  Have fun house shopping, you'll have to let me know if she ends up here.
