Just curious. DS has no desire to what so ever. DH and I are just fine with it. He's standing up on everything and cruising all over the house. But no steps at all yet.
DD wasn't even standing unassisted by her first birthday. She started crawling pretty early on (7 months or so) and seemed very happy to crawl to her heart's content for a long time. She didn't begin standing on her own (without holding on to anything) until about 14.5 months and she didn't start walking until 16 months.
Nonetheless, she walks a LOT now. We don't even use the stroller or Ergo now for most walks in the neighborhood. She walks to and from the local playground, a six-block walk roundtrip and can even make it to the grocery store by foot, about six blocks away, and back (12 blocks roundtrip). I usually only bring the stroller to the grocery store now to carry the groceries, not for DD.
LO is 14 months and still not walking. He much prefers to crawl and cruise. He won't even stand for more than a few seconds. I'm sure he can but he won't...I guess he needs to build his confidence.
My girls just turned 13 mths yesterday and are not walking.
Lauryn cruises like a champ and walks with her push toy. Yesterday she took 6 steps for the first time but she definitely prefers crawling or cruising.
Ava just started crawling at 11 1/2 mths but now she is slowly walking with her push toy.
i am not worried but I wish they would start walking, they are getting heavy to carry at the same time.

DD is a bit behind. She just turned a year on the 16th and just started being able to get to a standing position. She can't cruise yet.

3 days before he turned 17 months. He had been cruising since 7 months! It was a long time coming, lol. Once he did decide to walk, he was an expert immediately.
BTW, around here average walking is 13-15 months. They become a "late walker" at 15-17 months, but that is still within normal range.
Many LOs aren't walking by their first birthday! Anywhere from 9m to 18m is within the normal range. That said, Will took his first steps around 11m and was full-on walking the day he turned 14m.
Alex didn't start crawling on all fours until a week before he turned 1 (and just started pulling up and cruising one week before that!). He started standing at almost 14m, took his first steps around 14.5m and was full-on walking at almost 16m.
DS turned 15 months old a few days ago and he has still only taken a few steps by himself at a time. I think he just likes crawling because he knows he'll get there faster at this point. Stands unsupported all of the time and can do it for awhile. Not worried at all...he'll do it when he's ready.
Mine wasn't. She was cruising and standing, but not walking. She took her first step the day after her bday at her 1 year well visit. She took a few more steps 2 days after that (at her bday party), and then in another few days she was (cautiously) walking everywhere. Now she is walking everywhere.

DS started walking at 14 months. But then took a huge step back when he got sick for over a month. He stopped walking, but is now back at it full steam!

DD wasn't walking until 14 months. She would cruise around the furniture but no steps before that. We thought it was late, but told it was normal. DS walked at about 10 months.
my girls aren't walking yet...Milina has started standing unassisted a lot lately and took 1 step the other night...I am sure it is only a matter of time...both girls cruise around the furniture and ava has started trying to climb everything..she gets one foot up (luckily thats it for now)...OMG...I am happy with them just crawling for as long as possible...
DD started standing unassisted at 14 mo. and took her first steps about a week before she turned 16 mo. In just 2 weeks, she's gone from exclusively crawling to exclusively walking. She caught on fast!
OMG OMG DS is Connor Landon too!! Yikes, great name .
He was just like your Connor Landon...he was cruising like crazy at 12 months but didn't walk until 13 months...trust me, enjoy the time before it happens
Last Monday was the official more than 10 steps!!! About a month before that he was walking with his push toys a lot but wasn't interested in walking while holding my hand. He just took off after not showing signs of wanting too!!
My DS just started taking 4-5 steps at a time this past week. He started crawling and pulling up/cruising at 9 months, so I guess he's just taking his time on the walking.
DD isn't. And I think we're in good company. Average walking age isn't until 14 mos, right? Anyway, she'll walk holding our hands or a push toy, just not on her own yet. She is such a good, fast crawler, I think she has little incentive to walk .
DD took her first couple steps at 12 1/2 mo and has gradually been increasing the distance. I wouldn't call her a walker yet, but she is getting there.
