How long did it take your child to be fully potty trained? We started this weekend with DD and it's only been 2 days so I know we have a ways to go, but I'm already looking forward to the end. DD does pretty well, won't poop on potty but will go pee.
Also, did your DC potty train easier with yourself better or with DH? DD is with DH this morning and she has had 3 accidents already. He's doing what I tell him to do, but he is now frustrated and i know that is not helping her go.
Re: How long to fully be PT?
Well, we are still working on it and it's just been since the start of summer really (although they have been working on it at school even before that). I have to believe it's a process and not an event. Since kids go thru so many changes and growth, you might be bound for some regression and/or accidents. Also since every kid is different who knows how long. I'm starting to notice that A will pee on the potty but has yet to poop...S on the other hand will do the opposite. It is very frustrating and challenging. I just try to remain as calm as possible and consistent as I can. It's no easy thing that's for sure!
Oh and yes we have the same thing with having a parent or certain individuals getting better success--DH got the kids to sit on the potty...I couldn't. The teachers at school have MUCH better success than I do at home, too. Again something that's hard to deal with.
