being pregnant and having someone you know have a baby who has medical issues! My DH's cousin had her little boy on Friday. She was only about a week early. His weight was good and none of her prenatal exams showed any sort of problems.... Well after being born they were having trouble maintaining a stable heartbeat. Poor lil guy was racing up into the 300's at some points. They have sent him to a neonatal cardiologist in Jacksonville and are doing what they can to regulate his heartrate. It's just so scary to know that she had no idea there was a problem. Because the "episodes" are so sporadic it was hit or miss with the U/S & Doppler readings. So T&P Please for Nicole & her family & Little Brendan.

I beg to differ. Yes, being pregnant and knowing of a sick baby is scary, but there is NOTHING scarier than your OWN baby being sick. Hope you never have to experience the difference.

I will keep your cousin's LO in my t&p, that is so frightening

Oh definately you are right there, sorry I guess my post title came out wrong. I know whatever the outside family is feeling is a million times worse for Charlie & Nicole, I didnt mean to downplay their feelings whatsoever! I have been there with my own son and so unfortunately I do know the difference. I think it just hit home a little more this time BECAUSE I was preganant. Not that I wouldnt feel awful other wise, but well...I am just digging this hole deeper.
