In response to the below post about sleep, I want some opinions on that thing called the Snoogle. I am just now at the point where I am not sleeping comfortably. It takes me a couple of hours to fall asleep and when I do I usually wake up with a crick in my neck.
I currently have 8 pillows in my bed (poor DH). WOuld you recommend that I get a Snoogle or just try to tough it out some more? WHat's your opinion on the pregnancy pillow- worth the money? too warm to sleep with? etc...
TIA ladies! )
Re: Snoogle (or the like): Yes or No?
I dont' have a snoogle, but a plain $10 body pillow. It's not great, but makes a big difference to my sleep. I still roll on my back (not worried about that) and struggle to get comfortable, but it's much better than individual/normal sized pillows. And in terms of hte heat, I do live in a cooler climate than most of you, but without a/c, so it can get warm/stuffy. I do alright, but then I also will go without the covers, or use them to my advantage.
My only problem is that I wish I had two - one to lean my back against, and one to support the bump. Maybe the snoogle helps with that?
This is an arguement me and my friend have.
I hadn't slept at all for a few days, I was aching all over, and posted on her. A few ladies told me to try the snoogle, so I went over the reviews got it fromt target.com and loved it. I have not had a restless sleep in the past couple of weeks. My aches aren't half as bad as before either.
Now my friend, who got a body pillow for 10 dollars at walmart said she is doing just fine. She said that she can snuggle right on up to it and sleep perfectly.
This for me would not work, because I prefer the support I get from the snoogle. It was def worth the money I that I put into it.
Lastly, my friend is stick thin. She is 5'2 and probably about 110 lbs? Really tiny. I am 5'6 and wiegh about 185ish at this point in my preggoness.. So I don't know if size is a big thing either?
Yea, snoogle does help with that. I usually wake up in the same position I fell asleep in.. Unless I had to get up for a potty break. And it never has been too warm for me.
Yeah, I contemplated the body pillow thing, but I'm hesitant to go buying a bunch of cheaper options when I will probably end up with the more expensive item in the end. If it's really worth it, then I should probably go ahead and buy one...
"Honey- can I have $60 to buy a pillow?!?" LoL!

Good point! Plus, I can't promise I won't sleep with it after baby too!
My Snoogle Mini and I are not friends. I have it stuffed under my bed. I find that for me, I dislike using it to cushion my head and it's stuffed too full to support my knees/legs the way I like.
I think a "J" shaped pillow may have worked out better for me but I'm not sure. I have back/neck/hip issues without having my entire center of gravity shifted and my pelvic bone moving around daily so I'm probably a little more picky about what I use and what positions I prefer. I have four regular pillows and a little, short roll pillow that I sleep with every night. Our bed is already crowded.

YES I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Snoogle!
I do have a suggestion for those that do not like having to use the snoogle as a pillow- if you swap the big curved end around to between your legs, the less curved end allows for you to use a regular pillow VERY comfortably.
The snoogle is something that I had to get used to but now, there is no way that I can sleep comfortably without it. I have also started using the extra curved end of the snoogle as my reguar pillow.
I toss and turn alot- but the way the snoogle is designed, I can just turn over and curl the far end between my legs and go right back to sleep.
P.S. I saw a snoogle at Burlington the other day for 40 bucks!
