Girls

Mine: Harper, Layla, Stella, Emery, Violet, Everly, Bristol

His: Rya, Addison, Ainsley, Bianca

Boys

Mine: Hudson, Elliot, Micah, Sawyer, Chase

His: Grady, Hayden, Elias

DH doesn't really like any of my names except Emery. I pretty much don't like any of his! This is gonna be a real problem for us when we do get pregnant, since we are both very much into naming our child and finding the perfect name!

Overall, I like your list better. If he can tolerate Emery, you should probably go with that. My Favorites: Harper, Violet, Elliot, Grady.

What about combining your favs? I like the sound of Addison Emery or Ainsley Violet for a girl and Sawyer Elias or Hayden Chase for a boy.

From DHs: I don't like any girl names. Rya looks made up. Bianca looks like Binaca. Hayden is okay for a boy. Grady is a boat (although most people probably don't know this...)

I like Emery - and it's nice your DH can like that one. I know that I suggested a name to my DH that he said "ok" and then later it became THE front-runner. Unless I have a hormonal breakdown, our little girl will have the name I suggested to him.

As for the boy's names....I really like Sawyer.

Harper: I think of harp seals, then harpooning; and a stalker, or a nagging person. Layla: I don't like the 'lay' part of it. Emery: No. I think of and emery board. Briston: Nah, I just think of Bristol Palin and I think a lot of others might also. Stella, Violet, Everly: good. I know an Ever and like that better than Everly (Everly Brothers).

Addison: becoming popular. Ainsley: NMS and I think of the chef Ainsley Harriott. Rya, Bianca: good.

Elliot: NMS. I think of E.T. the movie. Hudson, Micah, Sawyer, Chase: good.

Hayden: Don't know why people like it. All I hear is hate'n. Grady, Elias: good.

Maybe each of you get to pick the FN and MN, they you can each call your child the name you like best. Well, a thought.

For boys I like:

Elliot, Sawyer, Chase and his Hayden

Hope you can come to an agreement...hubby and i go through this with every kid. This 3rd will be our last and we agree completely on our boy name but our girl name is up to me. He's letting it be my choice since we changed our 2nd DD to please his mother [whom we don't even speak to anymore...so NEVER change something you love due to somebody not liking it....] The ONLY ppl that will know our kid's name before he or she is born is ppl on this forum. ahha! We're not telling ANY family until the baby is born.

Stella - like
Emery - don't care for. Makes me think of an emory board
Violet - lovely
Everly - okay, but nms
Bristol - sounds like you're jumping on the Sarah Palin bandwagon for Alaska-specific place names. Sounds like bristle brush.
Rya - Is this even a real name? Sounds like it's short for Mariah, but looks like Rye bread.
Addison - "son of Adam" not a fan
Ainsley - boys name that's being taken over because of the LEY suffix and so very nms
Bianca - lovely and while a real name, you won't come across it often since it's in the 200s on SSA

Hudson - like
Elliot - love - one of my top two (or five depending on the day)
Micah - biblical and I knew a guy named Micah - gave me a very good impression of the name
Sawyer - I like it on existing kids, but generally don't vote for it because of the popularity
Chase - a bank. I used to like this name, but again - popularity soared in my area, and now every other boy is Chase
Grady - okay
Hayden - don't like - it's on the Aidan/Jaden/Braedon bandwagon
Elias - nice biblical name witht the popular letter E - like it!
