Nursery Bedding is driving me batty

I want a chocolate brown/blue nursery but I don't want a whole freaking bedding set. As I learned with DS, you only use the sheet and the crib skirt. I've looked all over ebay...first, there really aren't any bargains on there and second they always try to sell the set and not break it up. Sure I can find some sheets but crib skirts, forget it!

    I am making my crib skirts (and curtains) - this way I am assured to get what I want.

    if only I knew how to sew! I checked out etsy and there those people are crayzay for wanting $80 for a dust ruffle!

    I found a plain chocolate brown crib skirt and I going to talk my mom into embellishing it with another fabric or ribbon or something.

    Have you tried Restoration Hardware? They have a few really nice brown and blue options...

    I'm doing this, too, but with pink and brown.  I found a $22 chocolate brown crib skirt at BRU. It's velour, but I think I'll be able to make it work...

    Not sure about your budget, but Restoration Hardware sells the pieces. You get a slightly better deal if you buy their 3 piece set (crib skirt, sheet, and bumper) but if you know you won't use the bumper then you can just get the crib skirt and sheet.  I'm doing this one in pink.  And OMG how cute is that cow mobile?

    I am kind of in the same boat. Almost all of the bedding sets are too cutsey for me and I am running out of ideas of places to look. It should be fun and easy to find something:) Good luck!

    I know how you feel!  I don't want a whole freaking set either!  Just sheets and skirt.

    Restoration Hardware sells it all separately...can't remember if they have brown or blue......

    Carters sells pieces and they have all different colors in stripes, polka dots and solids. But the Restoration Hardware blue/ brown is cute.

    Same problem here. I actually had a side search for crib skirts going. I thought about making one, but it still gets spendy once you buy all the fabric. I'd be happy with a nice white one, but having a hard time finding even that!
