Oh, the very best part...

Of being a mom is when they only have eyes for you! Smile

I was laying in my bedroom talking on the phone, and when I shut the door I heard my son in the next room crying, "Mom! Mom!" so I went into see what was wrong.

I picked him up to settle him down and the poor kid was hysterical (bad dream maybe??) so I walked back to my bedroom and snuggled up with him on my bed. After he settled down, he reached over to me and grabbed my hand and pulled it over across him and just held my hand.

He fell asleep like that. I tried to move my arm out from under his head, and he turned quick-as-you-please and once again draped his arm over me. 

I don't know what was wrong, but I absolutely LOVE baby snuggles. Best feeling ever seeing my son's serene sleeping face. (And that much harder to put him back in his crib!)

It makes knowing that pretty soon there is going to be another baby in the house THAT MUCH harder b/c then I won't be able to get my snuggles with my baby boy!  Crying

    Awwww!  I had one of those moments today.  DD was crying during her nap, which rarely happens, so I went in her room to see what was wrong.  It turned into me sitting by her bed with my arm over her until she fell asleep.  Every time I moved, she thought I was leaving and would get a look of panic on her face.  I'd say, I'm not leaving and then would rub her back, and she settled.  It's so sweet.  Snuggles don't happen too often around her anymore.

    Awww,  I feel the same way about baby number two coming.  Randomly DS1 will do something so incredibly sweet or cute, and I hate to think that because I'll be busy with the baby or sleep deprived that I might miss some of these things because of it.  But then we'll also have a baby that loves us and does new and exciting things every day :)  GL!
