What do you drink while PG?

I seriously need another drink.  All I have left right now is water.  (I drink milk and juice but not to fill the day, if ykwim)

I don't drink soda, I won't drink caffeine while pg, which means my favorite drink is not an option.  Decaf tea just doesn't cut it.

I was thinking about the new "natural" Crystal Lite.  But I am not so sure about stevia.

So what do you drink?

  • I've been drinking lots and lots of lemonade.
  • Loading the player...
  • i've been living on lemonade...but that's b/c right now water makes me nauseous.

i'll drink iced tea too, but i guess that has caffeine so it would be out for you?

  • Once I was able to keep anything down (um, 22ish weeks!), I drank Simply Raspberry Lemonade like it was going out of style. I mean, like a jug a day.
  • Seltzer w/ a splash of juice or with fresh fruit.

What about a naturally caffeine free tea?  You could do it hot or iced. (Duh, NM.  Just saw your tea disclaimer!)

  • I have been known to grab a sprite

  • I live on iced tea normally, but won't drink it now :o(  And decaf is making me nauseous? who knows why.  I made dh dump it.

I loved Nantucket Nectar lemonade last time.  This time lemonade can be an enemy.  boo

  • Flavored seltzer was a big staple my first time around.  I probably drank a liter a day in addition to OJ, milk and water w/ lemon.

  • Flavored seltzer
    Seltzer mixed with juice-yum!
    Kombucha
Raspberry tea to tone the ute.

  • I would cut different juices with sparkling water.  Also Perrier makes a great flavored selzer, no sugar/sweeteners added.

  • Flavored seltzer, 1/2 water with 1/2 cranberry juice.  Last time I loved lemonade but it is an enemy this time around
  • Water with lemon or 7Up.

  • Be careful drinking too much seltzer. Club sodas have sodium and if it's your main drink that's a lot of extra sodium on a pregnant womans body. I was a huge fan of Perrier with lemon when water made me nauseous

  • Honeybush Blackberry Rooibos Tea - Iced... my fave.  No help though if you don't like teas without caffeine.

If you haven't tried a rooibos, though, you should!

  • I drank sparkling water with a dash of OJ or lemon, cranberry and selzer (1/4 juice and 3/4 sparkling water), hot chocolate (come fall).

lol good to know.  But seltzer makes me want to vomit not pg, so I can't even imagine now ;o)

Ugh I think I am stuck with just water.  This is not a way to live!  lol

  • A couple buckets of ice water, tea (I know, the decaf sucks, but I can't live without tea) root beer (already caf-free), caf-free coke, milk (but it has to be whole and it has to be on the verge of freezing), and orange juice or lemonade. I love simply lemonade.

ETA: ginger ale and I second the rec for rooibus tea. I like peach rooibus from Teavana. Actually I like pretty much anything from teavana, even the caf-free. They have a great lemon green tea and it's soooo tasty iced.

  • Usually just water...sometimes with lemon to "spice" things up.  I've picked up a few of the Sobe Life Waters recently and they're pretty good too.  Zero calories....zero artificial sweeteners.

    Lemonade, Kool-aid, Slurpees/Icees...

I craved milk while pg; I went through 2 gallons a week by myself.  Sadly, now I can't have any because DS is allergic :(  I really miss my chocolate milk.

  • I love iced tea.  I make big pitchers of mint iced tea in the summer.  If doing it with decaf that makes you sick though, how about flavored water?.  While pg with DD, I made pitchers of water with lime juice and bruised mint - very refreshing on a hot day.

  • I drank a gallon of iced tea a day.  With caffeine.

Decaf tea is growing on me, but I'm a water only person now.

    I also drank ginger ale.
