Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Pittsburgh

The Philly post below made me think about PA ... and how just about this time last year (I think it was the first weekend in Nov) DH and I flew to Pittsburgh for him to interview for a job and for us to see the city (all on the company's dime). It was so nice to be somewhere that actually had 'fall' weather ... and the trees were SO gorgeous ...

... and everytime I think about it I want to throw up. My morning sickness began on the flight there, and didn't stop until 2 months later. I was SO sick the whole trip. They took us out to a really nice dinner that night, and lunch the next day, and I couldn't eat anything. I threw up in the airport bathroom twice before our flight left the next day. DH was so excited about the whole thing, and I was SO misserable ... it was hard for me to get excited about leaving ALL our friends and family anyways, but poor Pittsburgh, it never had a chance once the morning sickness started.

I dunno where all this came from. Sorry if you're still reading :)

Re: Pittsburgh

  • lol...I keep saying to DH, "at this time last year..."

My m/s kicked into high year right around this time last year, so the smell of Halloween candy brings back bad memories for me. At least it's pretty easy for you to avoid Pittsburgh, lol.

  • That's funny how stuff sparks memories like that. haha I love Pittsburgh. All of my college friends live there and it's so fun to visit (there's so much to do there!)

  • Lurking from third tri .. I'm in Pittsburgh!  I live here and even though you were so sick the whole time, I'm glad you thought it was pretty!  So many people still think it's an old steel town when in reality, it's a very modern, lovely city.
    Wheee!
