    we had a backup plan for my son's bday a couple of weeks ago.  if rained we'd just have the party at our house.  we got lucky and the weather was great.

    I've had my child's party outdoors (or semi-outdoors) 3 out of 4 times. I don't stress about it too much.

    The year we had her party in the park, I had rented a covered pavillion in the same park as the rain back-up plan.

    My sister has planned an outdoor party twice, and both times it rained!  They moved it to their house once, and to a friend's house once.
