DD will be 9 months old at Christmas, almost 10. What types of toys are good for 9 month olds? Any toys that are super awesome for a kid this age? DH and I are on a tight budget so I will slowly buy stuff here and there for her - although I dont plan on getting a ton anyways. I also wanted some ideas to give to the grandparents and such. TIA!!
My DD loves toys with buttons that play music. She has this Mozart cube which is one of her favorite toys. I'm getting her a piano toy and maybe a xylophone soon. This Vtech toy is another of her faves.
The Leapfrog Activity table has been the best investment so far. J also likes his Fisherprice shape sorter...even though he hasn't figured out how to put the shapes in.

same here, plus we just got DS some blocks today and he LOVES them so far! Otherwise he also enjoys books and anything with buttons he can push.... like our TV remote
Def the LeapFrof learning table. We also have the Chicco Activity Walker, and he loves it. He doesn't walk with it yet, but he loves to put the shapes in and make the noises.
We also have the Bright Starts Around we Go toy. He loves it, and it is the only thing that I can really "put" him in for a little while at a time. I have had it for a few months now... I am not sure 9 months is the best time to first purchase it, but it does turn into an activity table afterward.
Since you have a DD, I think you sould get this shape sorter. L has the regular (yellow) one but I saw this adorable pink one at Target and I want it! lol Another thing I want for L is this Laugh N Learn puppy.
She has this purse too which is great cuz it talks/sings, and she loves the lipstick rattle to bang on things and she loves the fake money. (She loves sucking on textiles...yes, my DD is weird. But she loves it!)
We got DS the FP Activity Table last month - He LOVES it. He pulls himself up to it and loves all the different thigns to do. I chose the FP one because it was cheaper and it also has different kids of activitys where the Leap Frog one was just music related things.
The FP one has a laptop that opens and closes and a telephone. Those are DSs favorites.
DS also LOVES the ball lately. We got this bouncy ball that has bumps on it from Target. Its a bigger ball but he loves to play with it.
Can also get something that will help him with walking like the PP mentioned.

Ditto for my little guy as well. Open, Close. Hello, Goodbye. Up, Down. He can open and close that laptop 1000 times and still be happy. And one of his favorite activies is to play phone with Daddy. ;-)
And my little guy also loves balls or anything he can push/pull.
