I'm no help, I'm afraid, since I seem to be healing very quickly. I'm a little tender, and it hurts to sneeze or cough, but I'm off the pain meds by and large and moving around easily. I occasionally get sharp pin-prick pains in the incision if I do too much, and advil helps.
However, I still can't sleep comfortably on my side without cupping a hand over the incision. I don't know what's up with that, I just know I think the people who say breastfeeding while on your side is easier on c-section moms are full of it.
I'm mostly staying home and resting a lot, although I do try to get out a few times a week or do things around the house.
I'm still taking all the pain medication I was prescribed, but I haven't had any real pain at all. I'm on day 9, and my abs are getting much better when trying to get up from laying down to sitting. I had to pull myself up for a while. Mine was a scheduled c-section this time. I don't know if that makes a difference. DD1 was a c-section after laboring for 12 hours and failure to progress. I remember recovery being a lot harder that time, but I've managed to forget most of the details.

The best thing that has helped me is my belly bandit. I felt that way too, and when I would put the bandit on it was like a relief, I could stand up and walk around and do so much more. I really needed to support I guess. I suggest you get one or something similar.
I am 8 days out and feeling much better. I had no pain meds, just ibuprophen (600mg 2x/day). I can get up and down much easier than a couple of days ago. I no longer need help getting up and down. My husband and I went out for the first time yesterday and while walking through Lowes I got some sharp pains around the incision but I just stopped for a bit to rest and then it got better. Like PP said, baby steps. ugh! Oh, and lying on my side was a real b!tch and still is, but possible if I hold my tummy.
i'm on week 2.5 and still sore but not as much. i think it's getting a little better every day. i had a very easy recovery with #1 and this one has been much harder.
The intense pain (the insides about to fall out feeling) went away around 2-3 weeks. The area around my scar still hurts on occasion, especially when I'm sweaty or doing a lot of physical activity.
I never felt like my insides were going to fall out (I've had two c-sections).
With the first I took pain meds for about a week and a half (on and off). I was moving around pretty good on my own by the end of the first week and I was driving by 10 days PP. I had some incision discomfort until about three weeks, but nothing painful or horrible.
This time I took meds for about a week and a half (but only at night after the first few days), I was moving around great by 4 days postpartum and I was driving by 5 days PP. I had some incision discomfort until about 10 days or so, but nothing painful or horrible at all.
I would say by 3 weeks it was pretty much gone. A little twinge here or there, but over all pretty good! I am now 7 weeks out, and it doesn't hurt at all! Good luck!

Probably around week 3 or 4. I was off pain meds at one week and now at 11 weeks I'm walking 5 miles. Baby steps!
