Pregnant after a Loss

not feeling well today...

We had to leave church early today b/c I started feeling horrible.  I started sweating like crazy and felt like I was going to get sick, then in an instant I couldn't see...it was like looking through a kaleidescope.  We left and got some food and I felt a little better, but bad headache and just don't feel right.

I was in a lot of pain yesterday, do you think its related? I can't even go for walks anymore from these pains....im getting no exercise.

Do you think I should call the dr??  If you have a fever, you need to go in, right?

Re: not feeling well today...

  • when in doubt, call, but I've had that before and it went away after eating, rest and hydration, but it never ever hurts to call a doc.

Honestly, sounds like it could be low blood sugar. (that's what I have) you have to make sure you eat snacks on good schedule.

I was told only go in for a fever if it's over 100 and can't be lowered with Tylenol.

I had to come home today in the middle of running errands because I was all of sudden all crampy and dizzy. I think the heat is really getting to me.

  • For me, around 20 weeks was when I had the most growing pains...and I had a rough go at it this time.  There is a lot of stretching etc...I also had trouble walking.

I have also had what you described...and it was normally because I was dehydrated, hadn't had enough to eat and was overdoing it.  I know it's incredibly hot almost everywhere today, make sure you rest up and drink A TON of fluids.

It could be worth a call still, just to ease your mind.

  • Thanks ladies!  I think it always makes things a little better when you know you are not alone :)
  • I had something similar when I was pregnant with DS.  I was having weird tunnel vision, trouble understanding people and talking.  I was dizzy and sweaty.  It totally freaked me out.  The dr-on-call told us to get something to eat.  Between the ob and my primary, final diagnosis was low blood sugar/abnormal migraine.
  • I've had something similar but it passes pretty quickly.  One time I could chalk it up to low blood sugar, but the second time, it happened directly after eating a donut, so I can't say what the final diagnosis would have been.  In your case, low blood sugar, fever, blood pressure related?  It never hurts to call the doctor if these feelings keep up.  Drink tons of water in the meantime!

  • Thanks ladies.  Feeling a little better.  Flooding my system with water...it is so hot!!

It also makes me nervous I have felt no movement today, nothing!!  I have only been feeling real kicks since last Sunday, but since then it has been everyday, several times a day.  I'm going to sit down for awhile and see if I can get this LO going....I hope!!
