Thoughts and Prayers needed please

As some of you know from old posts, my DH had a prescription drug addiction problem which he was treated in a behavioral health detox center and they a 28 day rehab program. He was addicted to Xanax.

DH has been seeing a psychologist and psychiatrist weekly since then and they have been changing his meds every other week. His depression was not improving so they doubled the dosage of prozac and his depression got much worse.

His idiot doctor decided to change the depression meds and add atavan which is a benzodiazepine just like xanax.

DH has been having suicidal thoughts for the last year and nothing seems to help. So when the doctor gave him this new med, he decided it was time to end it. DH took a month supply of Atavan 2mg pills all at once. He did not tell me he did this until he started getting really sick and could not hide what he had done anymore.

He was admitted to the hospital yesterday and then transferred to the same behavioral health hospital last night.

Please keep out family in your thoughts and prayers. We really need some help right now!

I'm so, so sorry. Having dealt with family members who suffer from depression, and one who tried to commit suicide, I know how difficult and heartbreaking it is to witness. I hope he pulls through and I hope his doctors can find a consistent treatment for him.
