We went to order our crib yesterday from BRU and found out our color is discontinued. We are trying to match the crib to the furniture I had as a baby which is my parent's dream. The furniture pieces are still in great condition.. It is a color that doesn't seem to have many options out there (oak/pine). Baby funiture seems to come in dark wood or white as the main two options. So we are between getting this crib the Delta Duval crib from BRB, which got bad reviews in Baby Bargains but 4 out of 5 stars on BRU reviews. We are now between purchasing this crib or getting a whole new set. Please share what you are getting for your little LO. (The nurseries and baby gear board does not seem to get too many responses). Thanks ladies!
Re: Which crib are you getting/did you get?
We are getting the Bily Sydney crib from Sears, and the color will be black. We are also getting the matching dresser change table combo. Here's a pic:
So far all the hand-me-down furniture I've received has been pine. All the nursery furniture I've picked out (crib included) is cherry. We've been refinishing everything to match the cherry furniture. It's nice because you can use all the 'family stuff' but still give it your own look & I've been taking pictures of our progress to add to our baby book. Maybe an idea for you, maybe not?

We had another picked out, but that one had a drop side
This one's almost identical though.
We got this one from BRU. https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3480878 But we got it a couple of years ago in a pine color.
Good crib. It has lasted with my two year old. I actually just switched my 2year old to a toddler bed this weekend. This crib converts crib-toddler-full size bed and we could have used if for Nate, but we didn't feel like buying another crib for baby #3.

We're getting this one. We have to match our crib to my old furniture that my parents are giving us, which is really nice, Amish-made pine furniture. I hear you on the slim pickings, hardly anything comes in this color anymore.
We were torn for a while on which crib mainly due to my parents buying the crib for us and they didn't like the price on the one we originally registered for.
We ended up finding this at JCPenney's and it is still sitting in our garage waiting for DH to paint LO's nursery so he can put the furniture together...
These are the pieces we got for LO.
We are getting the crib my Great-grand father made. It's kinda cool, our LO will be the 4th generation to use it and over 9 LO's used it so far! The only problem is finding a new mattress to fit it. It's really big.
We got the Baby Mod Parklane from Wal-mart. LOVE it! Chemical free finishes, made from solid wood (no mdf), comes with the toddler bed conversion kit included, it has a storange drawer underneath, no drop-side and it's super modern!
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

We went with Munire. They do have a light color in most of their cribs.
I was having a tough time deciding what to do as far as matching old furniture vs. buying a whole set. I have my grandma's old hutch which won't fit in any other room except the nursery so if I chose to buy a whole new set I'd have to get rid of it and I just couldn't do that... she only died last year and it's a pretty sentimental piece to me.
After looking and looking and looking for something to match I said screw it and just got something I liked. The baby isn't going to notice if it matches and once he's old enough to he won't care.
I'd save the money and NOT buy the whole set. Baby's rooms change so much over the years... just go with what you've got.
Were using this combo dresser that we ordered from CSN baby
This crib from JcPenneys
And this glider that we ordered from Meijer
The colors don't look like they match in the pictures but they actually look great together!
