I know a couple of you have mentioned having a collection of dress-up clothes. What do you have, where did you get it, does your DD like it?
I guess I was hoping more for a wide variety of dress-up clothes beyond just the princess outfits that I've seen.
Thank you!
Re: So tell me about dress-up clothes
DD loves her dress up clothes. We have a few of the standard princess dresses. We also have hats, shoes, necklaces, bracelets, cheerleader/pom poms, hula outfit, tutus, boa, etc.
I have gotten a lot of stuff from resale shops. I have also gotten stuff from Wal-Mart, Target, Big Lots, the dollar store, etc.
She has a tutu and butterfly wings and some dress up jewelry and gloves. Right now its in storage for another month or two and then I will bring it out. (I made the tutu and the wings came from the dollar tree store).
Now my sister got her about 7 or 8 costumes after Halloween was over for like 75% off, so basically a couple bucks each is what it ended up being. She is giving them to her for her birthday though. I think she got tinkerbell, Dorothy, pirate, Little Bo Peep.... just to name a few.
My girls have TONS of dress up cloths! MIL bought all of it for them. Most of the jewelry, tiaras, boas, wands, butterfly wings came from Claires in the mall. She got a lot of the dresses and tutus at Marshalls or TJMaxx. Target has some cute stuff too! MIL also made a lot of the head pieces and tutus.... pretty easy.
When last Halloween was over, my sister also stocked up on costumes for her DS when they went 50%-75% off. He has tons of dress-up costumes now: firefighter, doctor, policeman, construction worker (the last time we were over there playing with them, I joked that we should all dress up like the Village People...LOL!), and several character ones (Woody, Buzz, GI Joe, Transformers, Power Rangers, etc.)
I'm hoping to do the same this year!
Football and hockey jerseys, tutus, purses, bracelets, backpacks, winter hats, scarves and gloves (kids and adult sizes), apron, lots of hats, old halloween costumes, MH's baseball caps, sunglasses, flip flops (for dress up only, Disney Store has them for 1.99 a pair now, sunglasses too).
