We started pting last week and at this point, he doesn't have any pee accidents. However, he hasn't pooped in the potty yet. Does anyone have any recs on how to get him to poop on the potty? He still has a diaper for naps and nighttime. thanks!

Re: Pooping issues
We started potty training 2 weeks ago and we are really good with peeing in the potty (only accidents we have is when he spays it everywhere - not that he goes in his underwear)...we are still doing pull ups during naps and at night and will tackle that issue in a bit. However he doesnt like pooping in the potty either. A week after we started PTing i told him he would get a big present if he pooped in the potty. A day later he did - so he got a huge toy dump truck which we call his pooping in the potty truck. He pees in a littel baby bjorn potty in the batheroom but he wont poop in it, I bought a potty ring for the big toilet and thats where he will poop (well, the 2 times he has pooped in the potty) but he wont pee there.....so we have different pottys for different uses
Today he pooped in teh potty for the second time and I gave him a little toy car (I tell him the potty fairy will bring presents when he poops in the potty).
I should also let you know that i dont force him to sit there, but the two times he HAS gone in the potty he has sat and strained on and off for more than 30 minutes...we talk, i made up a poop in thepotty song and occassionally ask him if the poop is coming....all while sitting on the floor (at 6 months pregnant) waiting.
Same here. I even tried leaving her undie-free for the time period I suspected she needed to go and she pooped right on the floor and then came to get me to clean it up. Ugh. I was thinking maybe her seeing it clear as day drop to the floor would help get the point across but not so much.
Thank goodness she doesn't have diarrehea that is all I can say lol.

We have the same problem.
She hasn't had a pee accident in 3 days, but poops in her underwear every time. She's pooped on the potty a tiny amount once, but then she asked me to wipe and then finished pooping in her underwear 10 minutes later. She has really obvious signs when she has to pee, but nothing when she poops, so I have a hard time catching her until I smell or see it.
