The first one by home medics is not my fave. We have had 3 of them, and they do not last.
I also have a graco one from Target that we LOVE. It lights up nicely, and is loud enough!
Zip it firsttogo :-) I have the Homemedics one and have used it for 2 years... no issues-but we don't play the light projector because I want him to sleep not be entertained :-)
Married 8.13.2005, M/C 12/8/06- 5 weeks, M/C 2/27/07- 7 weeks, M/C w/ D&C 8/10/09-6.5 weeks *Charles Lawrence born 5/2/08 @ 3:14am, 7lb 8oz, 20.5 inches. Clomid, Crinone and baby aspirin. *Alexandra Claire born 9/14/10 @ 9:52am 6lb 14oz, 20.5 inches. Femara, Crinone and baby aspirin.
We have the 2nd one that kittylove has a link too and Stella loves it!!
I'll settle the score.... we're on BCM#4... the light projector always seems to get too noisy for her, kinda churns and grinds a bit. We just use it from 8-10pm'ish nightly. (well, not anymore, just the rain noise)
But as older babies, I loved having both the light show and noise to lull them to sleep.
We have the Graco one too and we absolutely love it as well. He sleeps every single night with the nursery music on (although it has TONS of other settings). You can set it to play for an hour or all night long, which is what we do. You can also hook your iPod to it, which we never have. And it's small so it's great for traveling.
