cheap/free place for a gender elective scan

hello ladies, this is my first time posting on this board though I have been stalking for a while.

I am 16 weeks and I cant wait to find out what it is. my OB refuses to take the scan a day before week 20 and i am bursting with anticipation....

i have searched for elective scan places and they all seem to be around 80$, does anyone know of a place in so flo that does them for free or much less than $80? thanks so much for your help!

La Ideal Baby Store will do it for $50.00 I'm actually going tomorrow to confirm that I really am having a girl because at my 19 week scan the tech wasn't too sure. I've heard of quite a few people doing it there.

i go to ideal whenever i want extra pictures of LO. i did it with my first, and now with my second. its kind of expensive for me, but some offices flat out refuse to do an extra u/s...
