Babies: 3 - 6 Months

If you have a dog/cat

Has your LO noticed them yet? It seems just in the last day or two DS is really watching the cats now. One of my cats is a licker so she licked him this morning (she doesn't do it every day but she's done it a ton in the last 3 months) and he laughed so hard when she licked him... then I noticed he watched them if they enter his line of sight and he turns his head to follow them. they were play fighting today and it made him laugh. I wonder what he thinks they are! lol

Re: If you have a dog/cat

  • L noticed one of the dogs last week.  He was smelling her like usual and she reached out to touch him.  He rewarded her with a tiny kiss.

She's been tracking the other two around the room too.

  • I have a Yorkie and Colin has 'tracked' her around the room on a daily basis for at least a month.   He is always curious as to what she is doing.  Unless she is in my lap and he isn't, that makes him mad. lol

  • Do chickens count?? Embarrassed Isabella tracks our chickens when we're in the yard. I can't wait until she gets a hold of one of them.

yes I think they do and can I tell you how jelous I am you have chickens! I was going to get some this year but didn't want to incase I was too busy taking care of a newborn so we're waiting until next year! how many do you have?

  • We have 3 cats and 2 dogs, DD loves them.  She squeals and laughs when she sees/touchs them.  My female boston loves DD and sleeps next to her and lets her grab and pet.

This is a picture of the coop we designed and built. It was pretty fun.

  • Definitely! Especially when she's in the bumbo on the floor. They sniff her head. Plus, one of our dogs is black and white, so he's got nice contrast for baby eyes. :)

She's far more interested in watching her big sister than the dogs, though.

  • Within the past couple of weeks DD has really started to notice the dog.  Anytime the dog comes near her, she erupts in big belly laughs.

From miscarriages, a diagnosis of a bicornuate uterus, and fibroid removal surgery...It's been quite the journey but it was all well worth it. Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • Henry started noticing the cats at around 4 months- he gets so excited to see them!  Luckily, one of the four likes him, too.

  • DD just started noticing our cat last week. She's all about tracking movement (you should see her in a restaurant), and she watches him as soon as he walks in the room.

I think he's noticing that she's noticing him. He still gives her a wide berth.

  • DS has been noticing the cat for about 6 weeks now.  He loves it when I carry him around the house, following the cat...he just stares at him.
