could you ever do that? FIL took DS to the playland at McDonald's today and he said there were 3 young girls sitting in a booth and he heard one of them say, when do you think mom is coming back. ugh, that breaks my heart! I would never be able to do that! FIL thought the girls were about 5 - 9.
I know. There are too many weirdos out there. There is this little splash water park in town. Just some water slides, geisers (sp?) and buckets that dump water. We go there at least once, sometimes twice a week.
It's not in the best part of town and it's across from some public housing and so many kids come over from those apartments unsupervised. I feel so bad for them. Plus, they get into trouble and there is no parent there to bring them down a notch, so they end up getting yelled at by other parents or the staff of the school and daycare groups that come in for 1-2 hour time slots.
I've not yelled at them, but last week I let a little boy use the girls' spray bottle and buckets, but I told him not to spray others or dump water on their heads. I was nice and gave him 3 chances and the last time I just took it away from him and told him that he needed to learn to listen before he could have them back.
I used to work at Disneyland and there was a kid who would come everyday in the summer by himself, he must have been about 9 or 10. His parents bought him an annual pass and would drop him off in the morning, pick him up in the evening. Can you imagine?? Poor kid.

That is crazy. I could not imagine ever doing that.
