were you able to get back to a passing a PT test with your usual score after your 1st, or did you notice a decrease?
It seems like I'm having an extremely difficult time with my workouts right now, and at this rate I don't think I would pass an APFT in October. If you bounced back right away what did you do?
TIA!
Re: Those with 2 kids (or an older 1)
I was able to get back to push ups and sit ups pretty easily. The sit ups took a little more work than the pushups. I still have issues with my run. That has a little to do with prior injuries and I had three fractures in my pelvis when I was this last time.
Just keep working on it. You should be able to get back to it. I takes a little longer for your body to completely recover from a pregnancy.
when i got into the fleet i was pretty bad with my run. so after i had my DD and did the first PFA it was no surprise that i failed it. it took a deployment and running everyday of that deployment to really get into it. i was really starting to enjoy it when i got KU with DS. know im back to work and medically cleared and it is a little rough, but i believe i can right back into with no problem.
my LT told me your body never forgets how to do it and once you get back into the routine you will do better. i dont know if thats true, but it made me feel better. GL!
The run took me forever. I have three and I am not in the 300's anymore, but I am usually in the 280's 290's.
Stick with it, focus on your goals and give your body time to heal after each baby. Yes, it will be harder not only because of what your body is going through but because you're getting older. (boo)
