Potty Training

Explain the 3Day PT

I'm just curious how other feel about it.  Has it seemed to work for a lot of you?  How much is the book?  I haven't heard about it until I just stumbled on this post.  Thanks!

Re: Explain the 3Day PT

  • I could send it to you. You basically have to devote 3 whole days to your LO. Basically like attached to the hip. Give them lots of fluids and help them learn to pee on the potty. I am a teacher off for the summer and I haven't actually done the exact 3 days so because I have the time we are going slow withit. Although, it looks as though I will be doing the 3 day soon haha

  • I don't know how I feel about it. I skimmed through and really didn't like the the authors attitude. It really annoyed me. Every kid is different. We pretty much went against everything she said. We used a timer. we have treats, we use training underwear. I use diapers during naps and nighttime. I do ask him if he is dry randomly and I tell him to let me know when he needs to go. We started training last Monday and at this point, he is staying completely dry during the day(except for pooping).

The author wants you to catch your kid going and to rush them to the potty so they will know where they need to go. She just comes across as really rude to me. "I am the queen of potty training. I know everything there is to know about potty training." It really turned me off.
