OMG! Registry Items bought and Invites are not even in the mail yet!

I was checking my registry to make some changes before my hostesses send out the invites for the baby shower and I see that more items have been purchased (aside from the ones MIL bought).  I guess people really do ask around about registries.  I always figured they'd wait for the invitation.  In a way I'm really glad b/c I was concerned that most people were not familiar with BBB and would be deterred to shop there since they only have one location in Miami-Dade.  So, I feel much better about not having a BRU registry.  On the other hand, I hope that it's not someone who's expecting an invite to the baby shower and will later be disappointed, like a coworker or distant family friend.  I'm thinking it's probably one of my 7 friends whose baby showers I have/will attend this year since I did ask some of them for advice on baby gear and registries. 

Invites should go out by tomorrow, so let the registry stalking begin, lol!  You know I won't be able to help myself, lol.

    Just a warning... we got like a bazillion dresses at our shower and only maybe 5 things off the registry, lol.  When you have a girl, everyone wants to dress her up. :)

    Yeah, that's awesome.

    It's funny b/c yesterday Dh was telling me he had a vendor asking him where we were registered... he had already looked us up at BRU but didn't find us.  LOL  DH was in shock b/c it is someone he only deals w/ over the phone (lives out of state).

    I know of someone that put a note on the registry saying that they had a ton of clothes for the baby already and not to bother.  She said it as nicely as possible.  Some might think it's rude, but I could see where she was coming from.

    Yeah, I've heard this happens a lot.  It also happened to a friend and it was a boy.  Those itty bitty outfits are irresistible.  I didn't put much layette on the registry for that reason - just a few body suits.  I wouldn't feel comfortable putting a little note like that on the registry.  I'm okay with getting tons of clothing, too, b/c I'm sure I'll need it.

    I looved registry stalking! It's funny bcuz dh would get so mad and say "you're not gonna be surprised when you open anything!". Um duh, I registered for everything, how would I be surprised??? I just loved knowing what was checked off!!
