Please recommend your carseat travel bag

We are flying to MI at the end of next month and then renting a car so we are taking the carseat with us.  I don't want to just use the plastic trashbag the airline will give us.  I prefer to have one that might actually offer some protection.  We haven't decided if we are gate checking or not so I don't know if we want wheels or not.

    I have a $4(?) vinyl draw string laundry bag from Target. It fit both the infant and her convertible. It may not be the most practical for carrying, but the cosco isn't heavy so we just hold onto it by the seat. We have gate checked it and checked it (put the plastic bag over it when we checked it).

    We've flown numerous times just using the airline plastic ones with no issues.  I wouldn't spend much on something like that personally, so above suggestion is good too.
