I don't think he'll cry at/during the birth bc he'll be nervous and scared that I'm in pain. But t I think later, when we are alone for the first time, just the 3 of us, he will get choked up. He's an emotional guy (which I love about him) and he's not afraid to show it (which I also love)
DH isnt an overly emotional man, but he is very affectionate when it comes to me and the kids (still have to get use to saying the kids haha) he got very teary eyed and choked up when DS was born but no actual tears..im assuming he'll do the same with this one.
I think I've only seen my husband cry once in our relationship (8 years) and he held it together pretty well at our wedding, so I'd be pleasantly surprised if he cries at the birth of our son. He'd probably just beam and won't stop smiling.
My DH gets pretty emotional. I was surprised he hasn't cried at the ultrasounds or anything, but I am pretty sure we'll get a massive waterworks going at the actual birth.
he never cries for anything so i was really surprised to see tears in his eyes when we found out we were having a girl. going on that, i would say yes, he will definitely cry.

This exactly. My DH says he doesn't cry when he's happy! I thought I would cry at our wedding too, but we both didn't-we were just too happy to cry. I think I will cry for sure at the birth, but we'll see, I surprise myself sometimes!

Thats an excellent question! I never thought about what my hubby would do once he held his son in his arms that very second. But come to think of it now, I see him with a big smile on his face instead of crying. I might cry!
He didnt cry at our wedding and I thought he would, So I thought he wouldnt cry when the baby was born but shortly after we found out it was a boy he was loving on the baby and he asked him to kick and he did, so he asked again and he did again I thought it was cool and interesting, my husband was so touched he started bawling his eyes out so I am guessing that I will be wrong with my tear prediction.... again Hes going to be sobbing....
Re: S/O: Will your DH/SO cry?
Yeah, he's the emotional one in our relationship although I've made him better about it.
I think I can let it slide this time though. He kinda deserves it.
Ooh, I was wanting to post this same question after reading the post about whether we mommas would cry at the birth...
Regarding my DH, I think he'll get teary and choked up in amazement. That's what I picture.
Man, it makes me tear up just picturing him tearing up! These were 2 bad posts for a tired, hormonal pregnant woman to read!
My H isn't an emotional guy. It surprised me when he shed a few tears on both our wedding day and at our 8 week appt when we had a dating U/S done.
I asked him if he thinks he'll cry and he said he wasn't sure. I think he'll at least tear up.

This will me my husband as well. He got emotional at our wedding but didn't cry. I have never seen him actually cry.
Yes, I think he will.
I don't think he'll be as emotional as I will be, but there will be tears, I am sure.
