Mother Nature is a cvnt. I hate her. My boobs feel like two giant bowling balls strapped to my chest. So far no leaking, for that I am grateful though.
Anyone have any advice? I am wearing super tight bras and trying not to get hot water on them, but is there anything else I can do? I heard there is a "no Milk" tea at babies r us, but I would rather cut off my own hand with a rusty saw than enter that store.
Thanks.

oh sweetie, its' AWFUL. It was such a crappy reminder, for me too. I just basically cried alot. I heard to put cold cabbage leaves in your bra, I didn't do it, but I've heard it works wonders. You're doing the right thing by keeping it compressed and no hot water splashing on. I was leaking badly and had to get some pads. It goes away soon, though.
I'm so sorry.. ((HUGS))

I am so sorry sweetie, that is just beyond cruel.
Put cabbage leaves in your bra...I know it sounds crazy, but it really does help. Try not to touch or stimulate them (no shower water directly on them, etc.) as much as possible. Huge huge hugs.
Could you order the tea online, perhaps?
When my milk came in, I spent a LOT of time in the shower. I also just got some of those nursing pads and dealt with it. I'm a glutton for punishment.
My Dr told me not to have any stimulation around the nipples etc (because that's what you feel like right now - nipple stimulation) so the milk would dry up faster. Who knows if that's true or not.
Mine lasted for a couple of weeks.
I biought some nursing pads right after I was discharged, they warned me this could happen, so far I haven't needed them. If it gets any more painful I will try the cabbage thing.
Does the leaking only happen when it's painful? Like if you are really engorged? Should I just wear the pads all the time just in case?
I am so sorry
BIG ((((HUGS)))) to you
As long as you are full of milk it is possible to leak. I would wear them (especially at night) just to be safe. Also, take some advil if the pain gets to be too much, I know it can really hurt. I'm so sorry.
Before the milk fully came in, oh my god. It was such awful pain. It even hurt to have a shirt on. Then I found that once the milk started coming a little more freely, it didn't hurt as much. That part only took a couple of days too. They soften up a bit too.
The leaking will happen pretty much non-stop (at least it did for me) for a couple of weeks.
The nice thing about those pads is that it saves your bras from getting ruined.

Oh, sweetheart, I just went through that, and that's hell. Sleep in a really tight bra and you can also apply ice-packs, although that's uncomfortable. And shower facing away from the water to avoid stimulating the nipples. In about a week or so, your boobs will deflate, and the milk will go away. That in itself will suck, too, though...just another reminder of the enormous loss.
Please, hang in there.
Ok, I am going to just start wearing the pads. I am just irrationally afraid of leaking in public, I don`t know, the idea of it is freaking me out. The pain I can deal with with.
If it makes you feel better, double up on the pads as a just in case measure.
When mine started coming in, it really came in.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you. Lots of hugs to you!

Ditto the cabbage leaves and also take Sudafed or any type of cold medicine with a decongestant in it.

i just wore sports bras at all times even for sleep. and kept my back towards the shower as much as possible. try not to touch or press on them or anything and it should go away in a few days.
i'm sorry.
I'm sorry that you're going through this....
I would wear my tightest sports bras (like from pre-pregnancy when I had smaller bewbs) and ONLY take them off to shower. In the shower, I didn't face the water at all, just used a washcloth to clean. As soon as I was out of the shower, back on went the sports bra. They got smaller and stopped hurting about 3-4 days after my delivery.

((hugs)) I kept mine tight in a sports bra constantly for the first week. The cabbage leaves should help also. It is horrible that we have to deal with our milk coming in after having a loss.
