After reading about the anti-colic bottles leaking, and having ONLY anti-colic bottles, I tested one out. I filled the bottle with water, and tilted it at a presumably correct angle for feeding. It drips out very, very slowly...less than a drop per second. Holding it completely vertically, it does flow quite fast, but who feeds a bottle to their baby completely vertically?
I should probably check with the Babies 0-3 board, but I thought there was a way to tell if a bottle was okay for a baby...i.e. by how many drops per second came out of it.
Re: Follow-up to Tommee Tippee bottle post
Oh darn these are the bottles I have too... keep me posted.
Is it because of the valve do you think? I've heard the same exact thing about the Avent bottles too. I've used the cheap parents choice bottles at work and never had a problem with those babies and reflux and colic (they have other problems but not from feedings).

I'm not sure where this mysterious valve is located. I opened the bottle, looked at the pieces and don't *see* anything that looks like a valve. There is a "cap" under the lid (the part that screws on) of the bottle which looks like a pie cut into pieces. Maybe that's the valve?
FWIW, I'm keeping the bottles.
