3 weeks left and still no name!

Which do you prefer? Last name begins with a "K" and is very short.

Jude Atticus K-----

Jack Atticus K-----

DH likes Jude and says that since LO's initials would be "J.A.K." we could call him Jack... my arguement is that we should just name him Jack if that's what we'll be calling him!

Atticus is after our favorite literary character. Jack and Jude are not family names or anything, just names that we like. Thanks for your help/opinions!

I'm going to go with Jude here for the same reason we vetoed Jack from out list. When you say Jack with a LN that starts with a "K" or hard "C" (like ours) you lose the end of the name. The FN and LN run together.

Good point... hadn't even thought of that! I guess I'm used to saying it out loud with all 3 names so it doesn't sound too weird, but now that you mention it, probably not the best choice.

I think I like the name Jack better overall. But Jude flows better with the MN.

It sucks, I know. Jack and Luke were our top 2 names for baby #2 (Benjamin was already decided on). Same problem with Luke!

Took us forever to agree on Eli and it's perfect for him!

Jude, but you make a valid point. I think Jack Atticus is a little harsh. The initials are pretty cool though.

I like Jude Atticus better, but I agree that if you are going to be calling him Jack anyway, just name him Jack. Jack is a good name, too.

So you're going to call him Jack even if you name him Jude?!

If that is the case, definitely name him Jack.

If that is not the case, I'm torn. I like the name Jack better, but Jack Atticus K____ is a lot of 'k' sound, and I'm not a fan.

With the middle name Atticus, Jude sounds better. Jack and Atticus both have the same sounding "a" in them (like "at"). Call him Jude though, no JAK. Smile
