  Definately when she gets older, I bought it for ds#1 and he didn't really notice it until much later.  We still use it now so he can't hear the baby crying/us making noise, he asks for the projector sometimes too.

  DD loved it right away.  She slept so much more soundly when we had the noise running.  The projector she didn't appreciate until later, but we liked it because it lit the room just enough that we could check on her without worrying about the lights being too bright and waking her.

  My daughter doesnt sleep without the ocean sounds, and she just recently started looking up and focusing on the projection/animation (which keeps her content for a few minutes so i can get dressed in the morning). She is only 6 wks old, so i leave the projector off at night b/c I dont want to overstimulate her when I she should be sleeping. I think in a few weeks she will begin to like this even more.

  Jumping in from the toddler board, my DS is 20 months old and we still use it every night.

  
  DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
  DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption

  Some of the ladies here on the Bump called that one "The Baby Crack Machine"  I got it and DD doesn't seem to even pay attention to it.  I like it because I use it like a nightlight...nothing else.
