i am so effing sick of cancer

ugh...ladies, i know im not around much anymore...life is anything but dull around here :P

i just needed to talk..and i know you guys will listen.

i found out today that my 3rd friend from high school has been diagnosed with cancer..what in the hell? one has passed away (we were more acquaintances..but she was an amazingly sweet girl)..the other is a great friend i literally grew up with..sleep overs every weekend, trips out of town to see NKOTB, amazing girl who has a son 2 months older than the boys, diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at 32....but she is fighting like a f*cking champ..and i am in awe of her

Then today a friend had his status update on FB announcing that last week he was diagnosed with (thank God) a very treatable cancer, and he has had surgery and will begin treatment.

Im just so freaking saddened by all of this..what the hell? 3 people i know under the age of 35 diagnosed with cancer within a year? after that horrible disease took my mother from me.

I'm sorry Nora. Cancer sucks, it just sucks. It's taken the life of both of my grandparents before they were 70, and they were the kindest people on Earth. So I get it. It's just not fair.

I'm sorry. Cancer does suck. Being a Hospice nurse, I see so many incredibly kind, and amazing people diagnosed with it. Hate it!

I am very sorry to hear this. Cancer took my Mom too, as well as 2 grandparents and an aunt and an uncle. I have also had another aunt and a cousin beat the crap out of it and I hope your friends do too.

Amen to that, sister. F@ck cancer. I'm so sorry your friends are going through this and you also...it's hard to all parties involved. Hang in there. You know there are a bunch of us who 100% know how you feel.
