How long did dr. say you have to wait to TTC again?

My doc said "1-2 regular cycles".  I don't really know what that means (if I count my first period as a "normal" cycle or not), and that was not on my mind as she was telling me this while inserting cytotec.

What did your docs tell you?

FWIW, I was 9 weeks when administered cytotec, 8w5d when m/c was discovered.

    I was told after AF arrived I could ttc again (after both my D&C's).  They told me to wait to TTC for 2 months after I lost Grace at 18 wks (vaginal delivery)

    I don't think the time between m/c & first AF counts as a "regular" cycle. I was told to wait 3 AF's including the post m/c AF.

    I was first told 3 months then at my f/u appointment I was told I can TTC after my first cycle. We're waiting until next month.

    I was told 6 months.  I had a blood clot and can't get pregnant till the docs know for sure that it is gone.

    with both chemical pregnancies I was told I didn't have to wait ,the one I lost at 9 weeks I was told one cycle

    I was told 2 periods then I could try- so one "real" cycle and the time between m/c to first period. 

    It feels like forever though.

    I found out we miscarried at 12 weeks LO quit growing at 7... We took cytotec as well and our doctor told us to wait 3 month/3 cycles... It has been 7 weeks and we are still waiting on our first cycle... sigh...

    I am so sorry for your loss...

    We had our appointment today and the doctor said that once I got AF, we could start trying again.  Who would've thought I'd be anxiously awaiting my period!

    My OB and RE both said we could try again after I got my period back.  I asked each one about why some doctors say to wait 3 cycles and they both said that was "old fashioned" advice (I'm just reporting what they said to me, and don't mean to cast any judgment on people whose doctors said otherwise).  I miscarried at 9 weeks and had a D&C about 5 days later (it was a missed miscarriage).  Best wishes to you.

    The OB in the hospital told me 6 months (and admitted some of that was for emotional healing) and the OB who had diagnosed my IC told me 2-3 cycles.

    I was old three cycles. My M/C was at 12 weeks. I am glad we waited too, it gave me time to heal.

    I was told right away wouldn't up our chances, but he suggested two AFs, one to shed all everything left, and the second to allow good nice new lining to grow.

    1 m/c we were told to wait at least two cycles.

    2nd m/c the nurse said at least three, but I haven't had my follow up appt. yet.

    BFP: 6/4/10, M/C @ 5wks | BFP: 7/12/10, M/C @ 5wks | BFP: 1/5/11, M/C @ 4wks
    Unexplained secondary infertility...bleh. Gave it a few more tries and BFP on 3/31

    I was told we could try again after one AF.  I am not going to start charting until after cycle 2 though, but considering it took 12 months the first time around we don't want to use any prevention in between.
    Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

    I was told 6-18 months but that is because of how traumatic my delivery was and how late our loss was (almost 24 weeks).  That was the week of the delivery.  When I last spoke to my doctors, they said that we can try closer to the 6-month mark, this winter.

    My OB originally said 2 months, but that was before he know about my (possible) septate uterus. I now have to have an HSG done, and then if it is indeed septate, surgery to remove it. Then I am guessing a cycle or two.

    I'll be having a D&E at 18 weeks, and we've been told two normal cycles, but we'll probably wait a few more and start trying around Christmas for a September/October baby.
