Weight gain from bloating?

Can you gain weight from bloating.  I've been eating better this week and even a little less and I've been making sure to get all my water in but when I got on the scale this morning I was up 2# from the last time I checked, I would expect to be losing weight with the way I'm eating.

Re: Weight gain from bloating?

  • I don't know, but the same thing has been hapeening to me. I have been trying to eat pretty healthy and I have already gained a few pounds. :(

  • Not if your retaining water, or weighed yourself at a different time of day, or stood slightly different on the scale, or wore different clothes.  2 lbs is nothing to worry about.

  • I have the same thing happening to me!! I swear b/c of the bloat and gynormous boobs I have gained.   I am up 2lbs to - and weigh myself at the same time every morning.

    I'm feeling your pain sister.

I feel sure its a combo of (tmi) constipation, water weight, bloat, boobs.  ;)

  • I think it is normal. During my first pregnancy I was eating SUPER healthy and even writing down and keeping track of calories and all that good stuff. I somehow managed to gain 5 pounds literally in 2 days and my pants wouldn't fit! The weight stayed on for weeks...I finally quit looking at the scale and bought some bigger pants!

  • Your bones are becoming more dense and your blood volume is increasing, both of those will make you heavier too.
  • I did it once before when I was losing weight, I had DH help me weigh my boobs.  I stood on the scale and got my weight, then had him stand behind me and support them.  I'm normally a 36DD and they weighed 7# together I should find out what they weigh now and see if thats where the 2# came from, lol.
